McLean Museum & Art Gallery Artist in Residence - Maggie Bruce
This site is an on-line journal of the residency which I am undertaking during 2007-2009 at the McLean Museum and Art Gallery in Greenock.
The residency is now complete and the exhibition to mark its end - Timewinds - is running at The McLean Museum, 15 Kelly Street, Greenock from 23 March 2009 to 2 May 2009, Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm. (Please note the Museum is closed from 10 - 13 April and also on the 18 April). Telephone 01475 715624.
The exhibition includes fifteen large scale canvasses and several prints as well as an audio-visual presentation all created from my time as Artist in Residence. Admission Free.
Images of the works can be viewed in the galleries. All of the works are available for purchase as canvasses or fine art prints in a range of sizes. Please enquire for prices.
Greenock is located in the Clydeside corridor on the West Coast of Scotland and is noted for its rich heritage, with past links to shipbuilding, trade, sugar refining and engineering.
The Museum houses over 25,000 items in collections ranging from fine art to local and social history, natural history and world cultures.
