- I have completed preliminary work on the first montage using some of the objects from the Museum’s Egyptian collection. The result is promising for the future and I have moved on to examine parts of the African collection.
I hope that these works will be finalised soon and I will then make them available for viewing on the gallery page of this website.
- I have also been putting the finishing touches to version 1 of the first audio visual of my residency in preparation for a public viewing. The research and development into AV as a means of exhibiting multi-layered images is an important part of the residency as I hope that it will prove to be a valuable mechanism for displaying the Museum collections to a wider and perhaps younger audience.
As a prototype I have created Genesis – The Legend of Morvegan which is an animated AV created from two of my montages and lasts approximately 8 minutes.

- To-night was the first public showing of my animated AV and was made to members of Inverclyde Camera Club as part of a presentation I was making at their club night.
I was a little apprehensive about it as several of the club members make their own AV presentations however as it turned out this was all to the good as they were able to give an informed critique.
The presentation went according to plan and the AV seemed to be very well received by the members so I am greatly encouraged to follow this direction in the future.
- The hospitality offered and opportunity for informed discussion made for a very enjoyable evening.

- I attend meetings of The Arts Implementation Team (TAIT) which is an Arts Partnership team, established in Inverclyde as a platform for working and sharing information related to the arts. The team meets each month to discuss issues and projects related to arts in the Inverclyde region and also ensures the implementation of the Inverclyde Arts Strategy.
- At the meeting this month I gave the partners a brief update on progress with the residency. For some it was the first time they had heard about the residency project. I am greatly encouraged by the response from everyone in the group as they were all very interested and keen to offer suggestions for different aspects of the project. As a result I now have several leads to follow up.
